Kate Torpey

Kate graduated from Charles Sturt University in Albury in 2006 with a Bachelor of Health Science (Podiatry).

After 2 years at a private practice on the Mornington Peninsula, she took off on her first big overseas trip, ready to see the world and seek adventure after such a long period of study and development. At the end of this trip, predictably broke and looking for work closer to home, she moved to Horsham ‘temporarily’. 10 years on she is now the joint owner and co-founder of Elite Podiatry Centre.

Kate has a keen interest in advancing podiatry techniques and believes that people in the country should be able to access similar healthcare standards to those in larger metropolitan areas. To achieve this, Kate has completed further training across a diverse range of areas and has been able to offer her patients high-level services such as ESWT, Laser Therapy, Fracture management, Dry Needling and FMT for many years.

Kate treats patients of all ages and from all walks of life. However, she has a particular interest in paediatrics and sporting injuries. Kate understands how frustrating it can be to be forced to sit on the sidelines so she enjoys working closely with her patients to get them back to doing what they love as soon as possible.

Kate’s professional, enthusiastic and friendly manner means she is committed to offering her patients quality care and is always willing to put in the time and effort to ensure the best possible outcome for her patients.

When not at work, Kate enjoys spending time with her husband and 4 young children, travelling (not very far these days when the kids are in tow) and
